Fosgate T8 vs MBQuart QM200WX

Does anyone have experience with these and can chime in with opinions on which of these would be better to replace the OEM 8" under seat subs in a convertible?
Thanks!
Mark

Are you replacing the amp to ?
Do you have and amp in your stock system?
Which one?
What do you expect. Big Bass or High Mid range accuracy.
Earthquakes and Jehnerts are the two most reviewed speakers here.
Followed by Audiotec Fisher Match.

Eathquakes = big bass
Jehnerts = High Accuracy

MB Quarts better than stock but no as good a Jehnert XE200's
Fosgates not mentioned here as far as reviews go.

Speakers..

I have the stock am in my 2011 335is convertible. The system is stock, so my intent is not not add anything, but drop in the MBQs and if it improves in any noticeable way, I would like to get these. I know I won't get the same sound as if I got a box and amp, etc... but just trying to leave as is and thought if I can get some kind of boost, and it's worth it, I can swap in the subs one for one.

I may even consider swapping out the existing amp with the new MBQs if it makes a bigger difference?

Thanks,
Mark

So do you even know which one of the three stock systems
you have. And I am not talking about the Head Unit.
Stereo no amp , Hi Fi weak 6 channel amp , Logic 7, 9 channel
amp that uses a fiberoptic connection between the head unit
and AMP.

I wouldn't use aftermarket speakers without and amp and not the factory ones.

If you're looking to use them for more sub bass, without needing a dedicated sub in the trunk etc, then the earthquakes are the right choice. BUT it will come at the expense of mid bass, since the mids are too small to fill that gap well.

If you add a dedicated sub elsewhere (trunk), then the jenhert or MBQ would make a decent upgrade to add some clean midbass.

There are variables that will impact how good the output sounds, based on which OEM system your car is equipped with.

You didn't say which amp or which system you have?
The Hi Fi amp is very weak it doesn't even do a good job
on the stock speakers which are 2 ohm.
The Logic 7 amp has more power but still is not that good.
Also it's a PINTA to replace it.

335is !

How do I find out.. my radio just says professional audio. It's stock without nav, 2011 335is convertible with M sport trim. I got a good deal on the T3's and dropped in, but have read that the MB quart are better, so was wanting to see if anyone had a an opinion on the comparison.

What about replacing the stock amp with a better one and updating all factory speakers, no mods or added sub box... worth the money?

My initial impression is that the T3 Fosgate subs do sound better than stocks but when the top comes down, is when I need more sound!

Run your vin number through one of the online Vin checkers
like mdecoder.com
option 676 = Hi Fi
option 677 or 688 = top hi fi = logic 7
lack of these options = no amp also lack of tweeters in the front door sills
= no amp. This is called the stereo system.
the IA system is 7xx something .

This ultimately depends on what system you're starting with, but in most cases I'd say yes, there is benefit to replacing the stock amp, and the stock speakers (even if not adding a dedicated sub etc.).

Ultimately though, the "value" of those upgrades will depend on what you are starting with, and what your goals are.

I haven't specifically heard the MBQ or RF shallow woofers, but maybe the RF are better if you don't have a dedicated sub (more similar to earthquakes/subs vs. midbass), but others can chime in on that.
