So easy! Wish I had done it sooner. The car feels like a real car with real steering that goes where I place it. Huh, Imagine that. Braking feels much more precise, too. Definitely some NVH, but not much. Surprisingly little. We'll see if the wife notices. Makes sense as there is still rubber in the shock tower with the strut top mount. Maybe if you went with camber plates the NVH would go up quite a bit more.

I figured for not much more than M3 arms I'd just go whole-hog as there are so many good reviews of these on BMWs and Mercedes. Super happy I did.

https://germanautosolutions.com/stor...-m3-monoballs/

I used their install tool. Took about 30 minutes per side with arms attached to the car.

Those look great! Wish they made some for X-drive cars...

Any chance I could borrow/rent the removal tool from you? I have some poly bushings I want to try.

Took my belt out to investigate a persistent, albeit, only slightly noticeable whine. Carmax, who sold me the car had replaced the alternator and power steering pump (on their dime) in response to my initial whine complaint.

Is it correct that if the idler pulley spins very freely (belt off), then its time for a new one? I seem to remember that from my E46.

I don't have a build thread, but the closest thing would be my Instagram @ant.ht

Followed. How much have you spent in exterior cosmetics? Would have never guessed it to be a 330

How hard were the motor mounts? I bought news ones like 6 months ago but have been dreading doing them.

The motor mounts aren't too bad to replace. I'd say go for it.

Hey there! I rented them myself from German Auto Solutions.

Good bunch of people running that company, so maybe reach out to them directly?

almost always says "out of stock" so just send them an email and they'll get back to you!

Installed 3SI, cleaned the intake runners to a sparkly clean, installed an OFHG while I was in there, popped the locating pins out of the front struts and cleaned up the interior swap before it goes in next weekend. I was busy!

Hope you don’t mind, the E82 group is getting pretty slow...

Rebuilt the driveshaft on my 2007 335i with 215k.

Can't believe how SMOOTH it is now. Can't believe I waited so long. I just want to smoke the tires now.

Finally got my car back on friday after about 3 weeks without it from a rock flying through the front grille and going straight through to the wheel well. Time to clean it and finally change to the new g5 jb4 (if anyone has any tips would be appreciated).

Did you buy it refurbished or did you buy the parts separately and just install them? Why a used drive shaft? What was wrong with yours?
