So I drove for 5 minutes. Shuted down the car and came back in 10 minutes, after I started it, I heard a loud noise of the fan, I quickly figured that was a water pump failure. I got 2e85, 2e82, 2e81. I cleared codes and pump had been running for another 10-15 minutes, than I heard that fan noise again, again cleared the codes, and since then it was working for the rest of the day. Can I check something like electronic stuff that can go wrong before I will order new wat pump kit and spend 5 hours under my car? Maybe there is a possibility that it something not mechanical. Codes have gone for now. Thank you

Oh and also, can I drive it before I will get a chance to change it.(90% of my commute is a highway)

The pump is on its way out. Replace it.

Welp, waterpump isn't something to skimp money on, it will leave you on the road stranded if fails. Take the hit, get pierburg

The thing is that I am selling the car right now, and this sh*t happened just when I found a guy who wants to buy the car for a very goor price. So, I still want to have a profit from this sale and I already told all the buyers that I got this problem, so I might sell it for 1-2k less or repair it for 200-400$ and sell for a good price. Oh, I and I am also scared that I after I will repair I will want to leave the car lol

Pay what it costs and negotiate the price based on that.

And if you use a poor quality aftermarket one, please disclose this to a buyer!
Personally, I’d pay a premium for an E90 that just had a quality water pump put in…
