SCR ACTIVE TANK WARRANTY EXTENSION NOW INCLUDES 09-11 335d

I was throwing codes for the level sensor in the tank.... reached out to bmw dealership in Toronto who explained it was not a warranty item previously before this notice went out..

I had my round of problems before the 120000mile mark and replaced the sensor with one I bought from volkswagen (believe it or not they use the same level sensor).

BMW doesnt sell just the sensor but the whole tank... Odd if you ask me... there may be someone who might find this info useful who is past warranty. Check out a previous thread of mine: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1355409

Does this extend to Canadian 335ds also? I figured by the wording this only covered US vehicles. It'd be great if it did, my tank started throwing codes back at 150k kms.

Wow, that was fast, two weeks.

I never even got any queries for additional info - guess I gave them enough (even before seeing the actual letter) information online.

I’d be thrilled to just keep driving, but California won’t allow car to pass with SES light, and they don’t clear long enough to pass the test. Hopefully I’ll get a new tank under warranty. Thanks for this!

Sell it when the light is out. Then run to the bank.
