If someone were to buy it and do the work needed in order to resell it and give it to someone who would enjoy it, then I see no problem if they make a little bit of money from bringing the car back into good condition for a new owner!

It was a good find to post, and if someone cleans it all up and someone else happily buys it once fixed, I’d say it was worth posting.
It’s worth buying for anyone looking for a car they can tinker with. It’s just not something that should be bought sight unseen for sure. It’s a project but can definitely be brought back. I simply posted that I saw it in person so people who might be further away would know this before making a journey to see it as the owner said he had 5-6 people from out of state contacting him about it. It was too rough for me to pay the asking price. Not to flip, but to keep.

I don't think redeye was giving you flak, you were offering an honest opinion of the car after checking it out.

It looks like Serf27 bought it with the intention to flip, "The 74k full bmw service M sport package is now in my possession." - from the E91 Picture thread.

Different car. He bought an alpine white with 74k miles. The car I saw was a 77k mile space grey metallic. I have pictures for anyone interested.

Ohhh I thought he was looking at the space gray, my bad. Looks like there are plenty of premium spec E91s out there for everyone!

The last two I've seen listed were $12k and $14k. Did you get the Bluewater/Oyster one from Niello? Please submit it to BAT so I get a good idea what mine is worth!

Bluewater as a factory M-Sport color?? I always thought factory M-Sports came in Alpine White, Black Sapphire Metallic, Titanium Silver, Le Mans Blue, and Space Grey only. Sounds sharp nonetheless.

I'll leave it that I'm not pointing any fingers at anyone in particular since I still do love this community, or this thread specifically lol. Just wishing this thread is used more for enjoyment than money making since many are sharing their searches here. Also, this thread has generally been pretty fun and it's nice to see so much action happening in still after so many years.

RAV4 swerved into my lane and hit my a-pillar, then his front wheel hooked my rear and I spun into a car that was stopped in a driveway, bounced off it and spun back to come to rest back in my direction of travel.
My hand hurts a bit where it was resting on the steering wheel. The woman in the car in the driveway said she had a bit of a headache, but all three of us were up and walking around and talking, nobody went to the hospital. I saw my doc and will get my hand x-rayed if it doesn't improve in the next day or two, but it already feels better so i'm not worried.
That, and I'm scheduling an appointment with my massage therapist friend.

Sent an ebay message to the owner of that blue with saddle interior car that didn't have a final buyer, and also a message to that silver m-sport with the dents and dings. Both look like good options, despite being automatics. Maybe I'll rip out the MT and pedal box from my car before it gets towed away (in addition to the dynamic cruise modules, heated steering wheel, L7 amp & speakers, and the M4 Nav system that I put in last year)

Oh man! So glad to hear you made it though. How fast was she going for that type of impact?

Glad to hear you are going to be alright!!

Yes, I would grab that tranny out of your car before it is gone. That thing isn't cheap! Is the drive shaft is needed too? Bell housing? This is well-documented for an M3 SMG-to-MT, but I haven't seen the same documentation for an e9x MT swap.

driveshaft is the same for x-drive cars, since it comes off the transfer case

2007, xdrive, auto, 129k, needs engine, $3000.

n54 project anyone? i don't have time this winter and my lady will freak out if i get another non-running vehicle...
and it seems silly to drop my 170k mile n52 into a 130k car...

also, no comfort access is a big minus for me.

I’ll be watching this one very closely... question though, why are you selling if you only bought 6 months ago and 2k miles ago?

After getting this wagon, I really enjoyed the platform. I started wishing it was RWD, but as we all know you can't convert the car because the transmission mount is different. On this thread I saw a RWD setup close to what I wanted and won it on eBay. This wagon drives wonderful and is probably one of the best automatic E91's out there.
