18s are lighter, you can get more meat on the tires, and they're easier to spin, crazy plan right, so why the thumbs down? Do you feel the need to throw some d's on it.....
I'm sure those 18" are really light, huh? I just think those rims look way better in 19". Otherwise Solid ride.

Am I correct in thinking that the 313's will also be available as an option for the LCI 335i equipped with Msport? I've always been a fan of them but as a stand-alone option they're pretty expensive.

I may be way off here, but based on the Z4 s35is pricing, I think the 335is will be at least $50k.

This would FAIL if there is no 6MT, bottom line.

I don't care how good it looks...not driving an auto.

My question got no response - anyone know if the 335is coupe will be available with AWD (x-drive)? Thanks - if so, that would absolutely seal it for me. My next car, no question. Oh yeah, it better have a 6MT because I wouldn't buy it with an auto either.

Okay, a more powerful, very nice looking coupe.

Now, what's the damage? How big a hole in my bank account will this be?

I'm speculating the answer is no, it seems to me that BMW is trying to bridge the gap between the regular 335i and the M3, hence the performance version with RWD, that combined with the fact that it will be in the coupe only leads me to think it will be only RWD.

All In

My guess is no MT, no X-Drive, yes to 8 speed Sport Auto and DCT.

Like everyone else, I'm already dreaming of the day when I place my order for a E92 335is in Mineral White, DCT, a few nice BMW Performance extras and Euro delivery.

Sure, right after they make the M3 xDrive edition

(Answer is no and no, according to most of the major sites).

bmw is not that stupid to not make a 6mt for this car....the zhp had 6mt and i dont see why they wouldnt put one on this car. bmw knows that in the US they will lose a huge portion of their customers because this car is aimed at those who truly love manual and those who wouldnt mind the amazing dct. just saying i think 6mt cannot be ruled at this point.

I really hope you're right. I might buy it with RWD, but NOT with an auto of any type. Gotta be 6MT or nothing.

6MT or nothing, agreed.

Maybe we should do a mass e-mail to BMW North America?

Sorry, but as per many people with inside knowledge and the same people that have been correct every time the rest of us couldn't believe them, this car will just have a Sport Auto (standard) and DCT (optional).

You say the ZHP had one, thus this will too, but that was a different car with about 150 lb-ft less torque. The manual transmission that BMW is using cannot handle the torque. This car hits 369 lb-ft with overboost, and the tranny simply cannot handle it. True, everyone with JB3 and other mods with over 400 torque are doing fine, but BMW doesn't want to warranty thousands of transmissions.

But I agree with you on the majority of the market probably preferring a manual.

And as mentioned before, they need to reserve something to lure buyers to the M3. If this is had a 6MT and an LSD, M3 sales would get beat up. The E46 ZHP had no where near the power of the E46 M3, so cannibalizing sales was not as big of a concern. Would you rather have this is version, or a 328is with a 6MT? The 335 is too dangerously close to the M3 in the power department.

Blah, the standard 2011 3 series doesn't look like this.

I dunno. I have talked to some inside people as well and they are of the opinion it will have a manual.
