No errors in CIC (except for ones about DAB aerials).

In fact I reseated the module to get it working, listed faults from various modules - CAS, CIC, CID, FRM & JBBF, then a month later (after it stopped working) listed them again and none had any extra faults compared to before.

You need exactly what's posted in the very first thread.

I bought E70 camera emulator and wiring harness + SVIDEO camera and connected external powersupply i did the coding added 3AG to FA in CAS/FRM and made CIC coding as well

However I am seeing TWO top view PDC one smaller on right and one bigger in the middle where camera output should be. What is the problem anyone?

I get only this view like this E60 on my E71

Very strange I see only two PDC views from vertical one of bigger car and one of smaller. Does that mean that emulator is not working?

Does anyone know how to put the coding back to default as I'm returning the car back to stock?

I fitted an emulator for a reverse camera and coded, all works as expected, although currently I have not default coded the PDC or IHKA modules, not sure if this matters as it does work ok.

However I have an issue with the brightness, it defaults to 60% which is too washed out, I can manually change this, but has to be done every time I go into reverse as it doesn't save the settings. Can this be coded anywhere?

Did you get this issue sorted?

If not did you do the coding for everything as per post 1 of this thread?

Adding $3AG to the VO in the CAS and FRM modules. You also need to SG_Codeiren to CIC

Then change the values within the CIC
MACRO_PDC

MACRO_REARVIEW

RVC_CIC
wert_23
MACRO_L6_PARKMENU

PDC_DIRECTION

Did this in my E89 Z4 and it works perfectly

Yes I got it sorted. It turned out that the cheap chinese crap from Aliexepress that is supposed to emulate cam on E71 is not working at all. I didnt get anything from the seller either so really bad seller. I bought another one with parking lines etc that are working and now it works. Thanks for following up

I have been running the Autofocustech emulator , reverse cam and quadlock harness for 3 years now and still running solid. No canbus error or whatsover.

Im about to try out another video module which supports additional composite inputs which requires cable splicing.

Im not a fan of cutting or splicing into original harness at all, so i thought i should share this.

The CIC quadlock, the cables are not fabricated as a whole. Its modular and you can individually take out the pins. I had a spare wiring from a wrecker which i tried it on.

Use a watchmaker tool, unhook the blue plastic retainer

then push the pin [Press down, outwards]. Thats all. Now you can just wrap the cable, put some tape and be done with it instead of splicing the original harness.

I will be attempting this on the car soon. Hope it calms some folks down.

Got a new video module installed, without splicing the CIC harness wires. The CIC quadlock is slightly different compared to CCC, but the pins can still be removed in the same manner. Everything works as intended without splicing the original harness

Hello. I made the retrofit and it works perfect, except the camera settings like brightness and contrast. I change this settings and when I return to camera it goes to factory settings. Anyone have this problem?

Hello, also for me it doesn’t change at all the camera settings..

I also have a question, do you guys use PAL or NTSC camera ??

I tried both, ntsc showing better image but almost black and white, and PAL is showing colorful but the image is “shaking” and I don’t like it at all..
