[CCC19xx]

Hi! I started noticing a swishing noise when i start the car. Its a swish-swish-swish type of noise and it goes away after driving for a while. I dont feel any thing different while driving i just noticed it when i got out to lock the garage. I had a look online but due to the way the noise im having trouble finding anything. I can only find the metal clinking noise but mine sound fine from all other aspects apart from the swishing. It drives away fine and all. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Have you isolated the noise? Where is it from?

It must be when its cold only as it hasnt happened since the last time i started it on a cold morning so i havent had a chance

Diesel? Petrol? Where is the suspect source of the sound?

It is a 320d 2L diesel. If i had a timing belt not a timing chain i would suspect it is from that. I will try to trace it next time i hear it i understand this is vague
