US Combox vs UK ?

Hi guys,

Currently in the US on business and have the opportunity to get various BMW parts for much cheapness.

However, anyone got any knowledge on Combox's and if they will be ok to work here?

if the numbers are legit I can't see why not - Currently looking at a BN2000 one which should work no?

The only difference is the coding once installed.

Think of it as a blank computer, no operating system. It has nothing on it until it is coded to the car. All are the same, plug it in, code it to the car, off you go.
Coding depends on what you want it to do.

It should work.
I have sold some Uk bmw radios to Australians, French and Spanish. Its a matter of coding them according to their country specs and they are good to go.

OK, sounds like a plan.

My only concern is they seem to have another connector - a pink one?

for example - http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E88-E90-...pZOa7q&vxp=mtr

compare to a uk - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E90-E9...gAAOSwGJlZFz~r

They also state a version - US or ECE (europe)

any ideas ?

I believe the pink connection is for satellite radio which is US only service.
