im going to go ahead and invite the dfDub guys, volkswagen crowd out of dallas. ill try to get as many of them to come as possible. im also thinking of holding a morning meet for the DFW people driving out to austin

Some of you local Austin boys chime in here.

With meets that I've helped to setup in the past; we were able to find a local business/shop/dealer willing to accommodate the space needed and even throw a few gifts to be raffled off during the meet.

What do you guys think of Austin BMW or maybe SoulSpeed wanting to be a part of this? SoulSpeed might be less hesitant but, I'm not sure of how much space they have available. Austin BMW seems to be cool with lots of crowds like e90post so I'm wondering what their reaction might be .....

Any other ideas from the REAL locals here would be great to either post up or PM me. I've only been a resident for a couple of months but, I have the time to check out some other ideas. I will be in touch with the 2 I mentioned above either today or tomorrow.

OP: I'm wondering if (depending on how big this meet gets to be with outside clubs possibly joining) we might want to move the date back to late September to give more time for everyone to prep. The weather may even be cooling down by that time.

Needing some opinions here.

We had it on top of a parking garage in a mall in Bee Caves (just SW of Austin). It was sizzling out there since the time was noon and we had ~30-40 cars there!!

Someone needs to ask if the Domain (outdoor type shopping mall ~3 miles west of I-35 in N Austin) would accomodate something like this since they have a parking garage as well. I'm not volunteering but just my suggestion.
