Thanks for calling and posting the update, it will be here soon enough!

Close, but not exactly. I am a physician so I know.

The virus you are thinking of is the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). It's the virus that causes cervical cancer in women and it IS and STD.

Hey amjustice, when did your CA tell you for and estimated ETA "at the dealership"? I'm guessing our cars will be on the same truck (i'm in MN).

Has anyone else on this ship called BMWNA for status today, my message changed back to "Your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel" Hopefully this means its at the port in the US waiting for a truck. I just thought it was strange.

I think when the BMWNA message changes back to "your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel" after it was previously "in transit" for several weeks, that means your car is really:

"At port, awaiting a truck or train to transport it to you!"

By the way, my car has been "in transit" on the 800-BMWNA number since April 11th or 12th and it hasn't yet changed back to "at port, awaiting shipping vessel" again. Maybe I wasn't on the Pamploma after all.

Actually, when I called the 800# again today, I am now "at port, awaiting a shipping vessel" as of 4/25/08.

So I think I was definitely on the DYVI Pamplona and I would figure my car will arrive at the Performance center in Spartanburg, SC in 7 days or so.

Figure around ~5/2/2008

Now I just have to wait till 5/19 for my delivery at the performance center!

Does it take 7 days to get to the "Performance Center" in Spartensburg from the shipping dock?

my car status switched today back to in transportation. Hopefully this means that whatever shipping method (im guessing car carrier) picked it up at the port and its on its way to Chicago. I will keep everyone informed as I hear more. I know my dealership is trying to speed things up so they can get the sale of my car on the books for April, so maybe they pulled some stops out for me to get it here soon.

I'm not sure if it takes 7 days to get to the Spartanburg Performance center. I was just "guess-timating" it. I figure 1 day to off-load the ship, 3 days to transport it up to the VPC/VDC (whatever they call the vehicle prep center) in Spartanburg, then add another 3 days for a buffer = that equals 7 days.

My car is still listed as "at port, awaiting a shipping vessel" on the #800 number.

You got a call from your CA on a Sunday? Are dealerships open on Sundays in Florida?

According to deelerspeed (the tracking system the CA uses) my car arrived at the VPC on friday. My CA said my car wouldn't be ready for pickup until about the middle of the week and I am in SC, a 2 hour drive from the VPC. My CA should be calling me tomorrow so I will post an update then.

Congrats, Hopefully I will get that same call in the next couple days as well. My car has a little further to go (Chicago) so I am sure it will be Tues or Wed before I hear anything.

Thanks. I thought it was really weird I beat Howie4life in delivering time and he lives in SC.
