Put one of my stock angel eye globe back on as one if my led ones died recently only after 1.5 years.

Now car looks like one of those cats with 2 different coloured eyes lol

Also found that one of my xeon back covers wasn't snapped on properly, gonna need to remove them whole wheel walls again this weekend to try and put it back.

Over the past week, I have removed the transmission and replaced the 3,000rpm stall torque converter with a refurbished stock torque converter. I also replaced the centre bearing in the tailshaft while it was out. Got it going today. Took it for a run and everything is working ok and the noise I had in the rear end is gone. Weather permitting, I will give it another run down the strip next Wednesday.

Thanks Shane. It feels a bit more responsive off the mark with the standard torque converter, so hopefully, that translate to better 60' times.

Well.... I ran a 9. so I had a few options with my car.

I've taken the stupidest in my opinion haha.

So this week on, "hold my drink"

I ordered new weld wheels 18x7 fronts and 15x9 rears. will be a heap lighter than my current setup. Ordered two piece front rotors (alloy hat, lighter again), carbon sunroof delete panel, bride seat rails to suit the twin bride zeta3 FIA seats i've had collecting dust. Started fitting the air lift kit, and plotting out an aluminum exhaust.

Also with the help of ppm racing who manufacture my rods and pistons i use in all my N54 builds, I think I'll be getting some stage 3 cams and some valve springs, and possibly opening the ports up a little as well.

Basically, I'm not going to tub, 9", cage or chute my car. I'm going to cut the weight I don't need out while keeping it street registered and driven. And then I'm gonna try roll on deep into the 9's at different strips around aus.

With more power and less weight, an 8 second pass wont be off the table..

While still retaining aircon, bluetooth, full interior and electrics, no dash warning lights and rego.

Yeah, so I'm a moron.

Why can't i just be sensible like you guys.

I have just completed a little project that I have been working on since the Winternationals. The AAFD fellows & girls at the Winternationals sell off the damaged conrods and pistons from their blown engines. I purchased a conrod for $10 and as I needed a clock in my study, I thought I would polish it up insert a clock and mount it on a piece of stained Tasmania Oak that was lying around the garage. This is the result.

Yes if only the N54 rods were this size. You would never break one.

It took about a day to sand out with 1200 grit paper all the machining lines and damage from the blow up and polish.
