Lci Idrive shut off and wont turn back on when I start my car or try to reset.

Hey so I have a e90 335xi LCI, and I turned my car off in the driveway only to hear no chime after opening the door and then taking the key out, I thought nothing of it and went on with my day. When I came back the Idrive screen was black and there was no door open chime, and now it's just off and the SOS phone icon comes up on my dash with a slash through it. I'm a bit new so idk if I'm being dumb haha. Any answers?

Thank you, I failed to mention that my Idrive screen is also just completely black and shit off along with the chime, my dvd drive just makes noises as if it's cycling through them but nothing further.

It kinda sounds like your radio unit took a crap but i dont know enough to make that assumption. Have you tried doing a reset by pressing in the volume button for 20 secs?

Yep, as well as the disconnect battery method to bleed the transistors for 45min, not sure what's up but I'm fairly handy with code so I'm not worried to take on coding in a new radio unit. Would I need to get a new one and flash this one's memory over or would it not matter?

I dont really know. Maybe you can just swap it perhaps, hard drive could be intact. Also there a 15 amp fuse in the back of it if you havent check that... could give it a check.
