ISTA+/ICOM Cannot identify

Keep getting this error on a 2006 328i but don't get the communication error on a 2008 328i

Any ideas?

Are you actually using an ICOM, or a KDCAN cable?

Did you select icom in the Interface Selection in Ista ?
Do you have a tune . Tunes such as the JB4 must be set
to map zero which bypasses the tune. Other tunes have similar
problems you will have to consult the tune maker for intructions
in that case.

I would imagine you would use the last ICOM selection.

2006 328 require K-Line interface, if you have dcan cable or icom you may have k-line circuit not working
