Time for flushness adjustment
So I finally got around to installing my ST coilovers and happy with the results. I will wait a few months before making final tweaks on the ride height but happy with the gap for now.
What I am not happy about is the total offset. Currently I am only running 12mm spacers in the rear. I am yet slight rubbing when cornering and hit a bump so nothing I can't live with. My concern is will it get worse with bigger spacers. Going forward I'd like to move my 12mm spacers up front and get some 18mm spacers for the rear. One of my questions is do people generally go with a bigger spacer in the rear? Or is it just a matter of getting the wheel/tire where you want it no matter the size of spacer?

I guess I'll just start out with a set of 15mm spacers for the rear and go from there. I don't think there is any amount of measuring that you can anticipate if you will get rubbing or not. I'll run these 15mm for a while and see what I've got and move up to 18mm if rubbing is minimal.
Seems like 12mm/15mm is a pretty conservative setup. Style 189 wheels are front 18x8, et 34, rear 18x8.5, et 37 That puts me at et22 all around.

sounds like a good plan try 15mm in rear first.. to be honest you could actually measure and get a better idea but like you said you won't know if you will rub for sure. but you could measure gap to fender and see how much space you have to work with although you have to be very accurate

Member Game used to have 12mm spacer and 20mm spacer at rear. I don't know if the fenders had any modifications. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=742573
