2010 328i xdrive coupe tire question

I have a 2010 328i xdrive coupe running 235/40/18 kumho tires, I need to get new tires and I was wondering if I would be able to run either 235/45/18 or 225/45/18 without any problems. Stock OEM is 225/45/17 I am looking to get a little more rubber to deal with the crappy roads after this winter.

X2 on the wheels. If you upgraded your wheels post the specs and I can tell you what tire you can run.

It won't fit. You're asking to fit a bigger wheel in the same wheel well. If you want more rubber, you'll have to downsize your rims.

No that will be taller as well. The 40 is not a measurement it is a ratio. Check with the tire calculator above.

Ok so I guess I will go with 245/40/18. This will still be ok with the xdrive correct?
