What exactly was done to make the outer rings brighter? I thought this was simply a limitation of the angel eye optics.

We will be putting these on sale this weekend. We originally had a sale price of $230 but that will go down with the release of the V4's now.

Cant give away all our secrets of course. In all honestly it has to due to the new design features, but as well mostly because of the new electronics that we are using. Having a brighter output and 100% no dimming helps to keep the outer ring as bright as possible.

THese lights produce more light then the E92 LCI's, but again you are still dealing with the OEM Headlights. We have designed our lights to make the rings as bright as possible but still the outer ring will only be viewable from certain angles . We cant change the physical rings. Any aftermarket ring will look completely different as well so they really cant be compared

Just ordered a pair, looking forward to seeing how well they work. I better not miss out on a group buy now though.

3. yeah a discount for loyal members who have bought several versions from LUX in the past would have been nice.

I have installed twice now and each time it took over an hour...we need a better system to install.
For the install - the new heatsink design helps center the light better, and the single flat side shows where to start the light. From the installs i've done so far its much easier

All orders are out in the mail and i cant wait to start seeing installed pictures!

I might have to sell the V4 without installing...I tried to take my V3 out but this is equally difficult to get out...without any leverage given fingers barely reach the back of bulb, I dont think I can take the V3's out to be honest...hmmm.

If I can get the V3's out, I will do a side by side pic with both V3 and V4 installed.

They should not be stuck in there very tightly. If you cant get any leverage with your fingers try using a pair or pliers, or even a screw driver pressed on the ridges of the light. Just be sure your twisting the correct direction

Any way you can get the car on a lift? Was a piece of cake this way when I put on my AE last year.

These are brutal to install. I spend 45 minutes trying to install them and only ended up with the same halogens and bloody knuckles and gashed hands. Will try again tomorrow I guess.

Get a small dental mirror to help align the tabs. Helps a ton!
