Huh. I thought that had no effect on performance and just increased emissions... I guess everyone has priorities! For me, clean air and water isn't so far down the list...

Think I found the clunk I've been searching for for months, sway bar bracket.. Can't believe I missed it. Fell off on the road.

I figured it had a town/city at the bottom, but it just tickled me that it was covered up and made it read funny.

I replaced it with a Vasek Polak one for my 2002. I had someone ask me if I was Polish and then tell me it was a slur to have it on the frame. I had to explain that it was someones name. Haha

I threw in a $20 K&N clone (dry filter but I put oil in it to be safe) when I did my charcoal delete. Have had zero negative effects. The 'whooshing' sound is quite nice on cold mornings. Think the engine is a little less starved for air as well. Old paper filter was pretty dirty as was the charcoal filter.

So it wasn't today and it wasn't me specifically but figured I'd post.
Dec 10th 2019 coming home from my friends shop after a valve cover swap. Woman spun on ice in front of me, hit the center barrier and bounced back into traffic facing straight across, traffic was packed tight and driving slow due to conditions and I still had no brakes from the ice and had no where to escape left or right to. I totaled my car after hitting her in the rear bumper of her almost brand new GMC Canyon. After the cops left, she drove away with barely a few scratches. While I waited for the tow truck because due to coolant leaking everywhere, I didn't want to drive. I had come to really love this car in the less than a year I had it so I was pissed off at the time. A friend of mine who is a member here laughed when I told him the damage. He said, let insurance pay it off and bring it to me after they do, we will sort it. I wasn't laughing at the time and I was pretty distraught over the whole thing for a few weeks until after insurance finally got back to me and confirmed it was totaled and gave me options. I elected to keep the car minus fees and get it fixed. Less than a month after towing it to my friends place, it was done. Used parts, new radiator and a little massaging of the inner fender apron it was back as good as before. In that time I had bought a new daily driver, a Fusion hybrid, which has been a Fantastic decision. I love it. So now that the 3er is fixed, it can be relegated to toy status, which should be nice considering I put just about 30k miles on it in the 10 months I had it prior to the accident. The car isn't perfect or clean, but it never was. We chose not to replace the front bumper due to cost and the fact that aside from cosmetics, it is fine. It just runs so good and so strong. especially for having almost 170k on it. I enjoy every moment behind the wheel. I didn't want to see it get dragged away and parted out. Craziest part is. The 335 came into my life from an accident from last January 2019. Where I lost my Sonata turbo. A car I loved dearly as well but I was upside on that one and couldn't buy it back/fix it. That's why it hurt that much more to see this one like this, but it's back and better than ever. I'm so excited and driving it to work today felt so nice I am going to have to force myself to drive the fusion and save my gas money for better reasons. No accidents for 16 years of driving, and two total losses in less than 12 months. Like I said, not something I did to my car or even really today but just wanted to post this somewhere as an update. Last pic is of my sonata which met a similar demise last year when someone pulled out in front of me and I had no room on a 2 lane road. /End of book

Been wanting to wrap the wood trim in my car, I think it looks kinda out of place against the red and black interior. How difficult was it for you to do/ whihc vinyl did you use?
