FRM replacement part help - 2006 325i
I've diagnosed a bad FRM module in my 2006 325i (one headlight came on by itself overnight and can't be turned off).
I took the module out and the part number is: 61356987999. I have a local shop who can program it if I can find a used replacement. A new one seems to be almost $1K installed. Two questions: 1) Since it's an FRMFA (or FRM1?) it seems like it cannot be repaired by sending it out to someone. Anyone know if this correct? 2) Putting my VIN and the part number into realoem.com seems to suggest that the part's been replaced by 61359128184 since my car doesn't have adaptive headlights. But there seem to be people who have successfully upgraded this part to an FRM2 or FRM3 - but I can't seem to find out exactly what part numbers would work in my car. Any idea how to figure which other units will work before I order something that's not compatible? Thanks! |
