V2 & Service Intervals

I have been running V1 and then V2 since the car had about 2500 km on the clock.

Anyway I normally do an oil change every 5000 km but I have noticed in recent times that the cars service interval has been getting progressively shorter. For instance I had the car's oil changed by BMW at 16,000 km, it's now calling for an oil change at 20,000 km.

Now I know I drive it hard but what sort of interval's are other people getting?

Thanks,

S

I personaly ignore the oilservice indication as long as I change oils in every 7000Km.

Oil change intervals are based on your MPG, the harder you drive = the less MPG you get = the shorter intervals , ECU tunes have nothing to do with it.

Sorry I guess I didn't make it clear enough, it's based on the cars fuel consumption, MPG = miles per gallon. (l/100km)

In a tuned car, You should change the oil more frequently than the manufacturer suggests. I change mine every 3-4k miles.

Yeah, as I indicated I change mine every 5K km. Just wondering if only the fuel consumption is what triggers the service interval.
