what's the pipe material on the black powder coated charge pipe? aluminum or stainless as well? was welding done by Tig like the stainless?

Aluminum & they are both tig welded.

I was planning on cleaning my valves at the same time as well -- first time, almost 80k miles. Not looking forward to the mess

Are you going to use medium blasting or just straight soak+scrub?

Mines at around 58k, but I still feel better sooner then later, Ill be in there already, and it'll help with going FBO! Soak and scrub, I have the luxury of a second car so I can leave it on jack stands for a while as I take my time cleaning!

If I plan on buying a 7" VRSF FMIC after I get this, should I order the lower charge pipe as well. I have a 2007 335.

Lower charge pipe is only required for '09+ last I checked.

This is true, it's also an upgrade for 07-08 models. The stock plastic chargepipe is a bit restrictive and slightly undersized compared to the rest of the intake system on larger HP setups.

Awesome, looks like the extra money is worth it to have full replacement piping, pretty much. Good to know when I get the 5".

Ordered the black CP + TiAL today. So awesome that it shipped same day.

Got my intercooler and downpipes today. The charge pipe and red Tial BOV have already been installed for a week or so and love it!
