Detailing Question - Ginkgo Tree Sap
A detailing shop in DC did a great job on my car, but warned in advance that it couldn't get out some residual splotch marks from where the juice/fruit of ginkgo trees landed on my hood. Any experience getting it out? Scratch X worked on most but there are still a few.

I have the same issue with SAP. I found that if I use diluted rubbing alcohol it easily removes the sap, however, I have to get rid of the sap right away before leaving any of the residual marks.
Wish I could help you more on removing the marks. |

I'm facing the same issue. Would love to permanently remove the spots. Cant really notice unless you look for them.

Mines seem to show when I wash the car.. I tried using Turtle Wax Black kit, and that seemed to work, but after about two weeks, they were back.

The actual dropping can be removed with isopropyl alcohol or vinegar. Clay bar can be used. The spot you still see is the etching left behind similiar to a water spot etching. You will need to have it polished to remove it
