Sporty Car Hire

Were in the midst of planning our next euro trip and next yr it seems the Stelvio pass is on the agenda.

Not sure i wanna take my corrado on a 2k jaunt into europe so was wondering about hiring somethign fun for a few days - but no idea where to begin.

I reckon £500 for the weekend hire - with unlimited mileage is where my heads at.

Anyone got any thoughts?

I think you might struggle to get anything decent and take it overseas for a Monkey.

I'll just keep yours as a deposit .

Caveat - do you still have the 5er - not too interested in the Corrado - sorry.

nah 5er went back when i moved jobs... and trust me - the corrado is the better car!

I reckon given the prices im being quoted - im better of chucking a few ££ at the corrado and make it even better for the trip... and its one hell a machine to chuck into corners.

Wouldn't you be better to fly there and get a hire car from the nearest airport or town. Or fly into Munich and start your trip from there. I hired a 535d in Munich once - fortunately they don't check the tyre tread depth before and after

You will struggle to find a hire company that will let you take the car out of the UK.

Part of the fun is the driving there... and back and trying NOT to goto the nurburgring!

Following the threads here and elsewhere over the past few months though - if i do goto the ring - im gonna hire a ring car so im all insured etc.

I was looking into something similar, I have always wanted to do a Highlands trip and I am finally going to do it in June next year for four days. I started looking around for sports car hire myself and can't find anything decent for under £1k, plus a £2.5K deposit. I think now I am going to get the boat across with my own car and spend money on some really nice hotels which will keep my wife happy as a road trip is not really her sort of thing.
