Snapped Cowl Tabs = Trouble?

Hey Guys,

Yesterday I installed a JB Stage 1 and snapped off two tabs that go under the rubber seal while re-installing the cowl. It still sits flush and very tight in the middle and passenger side section. On the drivers side section, there is about .25 cm of play between the cowl and the rubber seal. My main concern is the issue of it being water-tight. I know the center seal piece protects water from the blower motor, and the passenger side seal protects the ECU. Do you guys see an issue here, or am I overthinking? I ran some water down the windshield and didnt notice any leaking into the drivers foot-well....

I live in San Diego, not too rough a climate out here.

Thanks

I replaced my cowl when I broke a tab. Cost something like $50 from tischer. Just didn't want my dealer to have any reason to think I was poking around. As long as it's relatively tightly seated and the corner covers and ECU lid are on I don't imagine you'd have any problems..

If I am out of warranty, would this be a cause for a dealer not to uphold things like HPFP failures, etc?

nope! they have to prove a modification you made led to a direct failure of the part you're trying to warranty. a broken clip isn't enough to deny warranty
