Walnut blasting performance before and after
I went to the track last Friday night and I also went tonight. Conditions were practically identical. The car is completely stock with the exception of JB4. I am running map 5 with 4 gallons per tank E85. I had the walnut blasting done between this week. Here are the results:
Before: 60'-2.19 1/8-8.65 1/4-13.15 MPH-109.78 After 60'-2.06 1/8-8.45 1/4-12.89 MPH-111.34 |

It makes a huge difference, especially on the bottom end. Now my car has 97K miles and has never been cleaned, so it was REALLY bad!! But nearly 3/10 of a second is a huge improvement!!

I don't mean to rain on your parade but the 3/10ths of a second gained are more than likely due to the better 60ft. A better measure of the performance gained is in your trap speed where you went from 109 to a 111mph.

I agree, but this service is also to thank for the much improved 60'. Before, I could not break the tires loose for anything. Now, even under a spirited launch at a red light at 3/4 throttle, it'll light 'em up. Though I am sure there is benefit throughout the rev range, the vast majority of the gain is in the bottom end.

vr6extreme, sorry to reply to such an old post, but I'm also in Louisville KY and would love to know more about how you did this. I've searched for days trying to find somewhere / someone to do this locally and keep coming up empty. Either I'm not searching / calling the right people, or it's just not available in our market. I'd like to pick your brain if you have the time. |
