figured there were production threads for April and May but none for June... and i needed a place to comment about mine haha... so i just got my production number earlier this week and I just called the 800 number to confirm all my options since owners circle is clearly off and the guy told me production week 23.. which is the week of June 4.. I'm actually really frustrated because my dealer first told me end of April.. then he told me end of May.. now bmw just confirmed end of june for me.. but what can i do? i want this car badly

They gave me a production # on the spot, they told me it should be in the 3rd week of June production batch. I hope I can trust them.. but then again, thats all I can do at this point. Im gonna try the number soon I guess.

I ordered my car on 3/10 and I just received my production number on 4/27, I have checked online and the automated voice system, neither have given me a scheduled week yet:

My production number is: 3634xxx

I was surprised to see production numbers that are higher than mine being listed in the May production thread as being built in May.

rhuss, you might want to talk to a representative. The automated voice system also told me that there was no scheduled production date yet, but when i got put through to a representative so I can confirm all my options (since OC didn't show them all), the guy was able to tell me week 23... very nice guy by the way, he went on and on about how he loves the 335i coupe and how its faster than the old M3 and how I wont regret waiting

Hey guys.

Sounds like I got somewhat lucky - my dealer just recently obtained a production number a week or so ago for a loaded space gray coupe that they were apparently going to sell once it got to the lot (just assuming that since no one put a down payment on it).

I've heard of the "shortages" and the additional wait that some have incurred and yeah.. 3 months is already a PITA >.<! 75 days to be exact until the 16th of July. But no need to complain, it's well worth the wait. I'm trying not to get too psyched about it yet since I have no way in taking out my excitement until she (he?) arrives, other than buying things like shift knobs and white angel eye bulbs

I'm looking forward to tracking our rides together.

Ordered my e92 coupe on 4/29/07 got my production # on 4/30. Called 800 # and associate said my car is scheduled to be built on week 23 and ETA is mid July. It just sucks because '08 is just around the corner when July comes. Hopefully there's no material upgrades when the '08s come out.

I'm cheking in also fellas. Ordered my E92 328i on 4/7/07, got my production # 366**** a week ago and got a confirmed production of the 23rd week. So, is the 23rd week the week of Jun 4th or the 10th? I guess this is gonna be my home for the next couple of weeks. Looking forward to tracking our vehicles together and maybe we'll get bumped up to an early production week? At least i'm in the east coast where delivery is alittle faster than other parts of the U.S.A.

I ordered a Sparkling Graphite 3 and a half weeks ago to only change my mind to Titanium Silver, so now I have another production number and my wait is now longer. Oh well, I'd rather be happy and wait. It looks like June 07 is going to be the production date for me as well.

how long do you generally have to wait until you get your production number? i ordered mine on 4-26 and haven't gotten any production numbers yet. should i be concerned?

You shouldn't be too concerned. I ordered mine on 4/7 and just got my production # about a week ago. I ordered from a pretty high volume dealership in NJ and knew I was sold a future allocation and wouldn't get a production number until May or so. It never hurts to give your CA a call just so you could have a time frame on when your vehicle would start production. Hopefully you can join the July party boat on the way over from bremerhaven (or what ever it's called)

The way these things are selling you could be in a future allocation, most likely July.

Most likely, you should ask your CA what production week your car has been allocated for. From that information, you can expect to receive your production number the month prior to the scheduled production week. If your CA can't tell you the expected production week, then he does not have sufficient allocation for the vehicle you ordered and from that point on, it's a crap shoot as to when you can expect your car, depending on how many other orders are ahead of you without allocations.

argh! just talked to him and he said that there was another person ahead of me who hasn't recieved his production# yet. but as soon as he gets his, i should expect mine in the week after. this blows

So uh, I called yesterday and my production number wasn't in the system. that's what the guy said, literally. so i called again 4 hrs later, and it still wasn't there. called in the morning just now and still nothing. my owner's circle page works fine with the status (still On Order) and the auto-mated phone system also says that its on order w/ no scheduled production date. i spoke with a BMW person on that phone on mon or tues and they were able to pull up the number just fine, so i dunno...



guess ill stop by the dealer today and see what's up even though my CA isn't there on Fridays. im sure everything is ok...

IMO, you are spending $45K (+) on a vehicle, you should be able to bug your CA as much as you'd like (respectively) at least until you get a production #.
