I bought the torque app recently along with their official bluetooth adaptor..

This was before I found out about this app, so now I'm wondering if I could use the same bluetooth adaptor with this app?

Please let me know if it is possible and if all the features work :/

Thanks

Does anyone know if the standard, base, stereo system can be re-coded to hifi system?

In other words I would like to flatten the factory eq with this app, ready for an audio upgrade.

I didn't know 'Torque' had their own BT adaptor, they usually recommend the very expensive Scantool OBDLink MX & LX adaptors, I have the MX and although it's a great bit of kit, it doesn't work with BMWhat (Carly)

With the elm 327 you need to manually enter the settings for IP address etc. I am assuming that the Carly has these stored. So if you clicked on the Carly settings they may come up for view or configuration. I wonder what those would be if they are there. Thanks.

Does this app read BMW specific codes such a water pump low RPM etc ?
It doesn't seem to explain the codes, just give the numbers is that right ?

And wheres the cheapest place to get a wifi adapter for use with my iphone 4?

Toying with the idea of the app and the wifi adaptor but before I buy them both can anyone tell me if I can code out the number plate light failure? I have recently fitted led number plate lights and they are throwing this warning up each time I turn the car on!

I've bought three things from them, the app, Bluetooth adapter and Cable adaptor for my Android. Can not do any coding with either. Bought the Bluetooth as was told the cable was not compatible with my car and was told to buy the bluetooth. Only with Bluetooth I can run diagnostics but no coding.

Support isnt really much of a help as been told the same thing and been going round in circles. Anyone else had this issue? Or know any solutions? Will give another go probably on the weekend and send them a log.

Your car wouldn't happen to be a 2007 would it? I'm pretty sure I've read that there's a problem with Carly (BMWhat) & 2007 cars

Carly for BMW

I bought an ELM327 wifi adaptor off Amazon for £9.99, then downloaded the app this morning, cost me £33.99.
Adaptor connected to my iPad no problem, read and deleted 4 found faults, added digital speedo and mirrors to fold on open/close all within 5 minutes. Great app, would recommend to anybody.
My car is an E90 330d 58 plate.
