Possible Reasons Towards Fuel Pump Fuse Popping?

My car (2007 BMW 335i N54 E92 w/ 6MT) had been running perfectly fine, no electrical or mechanical problems other than my i-Drive system not working due to the CCC drive. I went for a run with a friend and afterwards tried to start the car back up and I noticed fuel pump was not priming. Came back the next day and tried swapping fuses and walla it worked and drove normally with no problems within the 24-hours so far. My main concern was that there should be a reason for my fuel pump fuse to just pop. Any possible reasons or should I fork out the money and get it checked by a professional?
