Hi all,

Looking for member input on going to either ivo or Streetxtreme to get regular maintenance done. I'm looking to get all the fluids changed on my 335xi.

Ivo has his own post about his good work, but Streetxtreme has hosted some events and have gotten good reviews as well

How are the prices between the two?

If both are on par, Streetxtreme is a closer for me.

Just be careful with Ivo. Word is spreading that he's been trying to make an extra buck or two off people he feels don't know much about the cars.

Just compare pricing, other than that I know that Ivo's a great mechanic.

Any examples? Not saying you are lying but that's a pretty bold statement.

It's something that I picked up on and it also happened to a couple people I sent there.

RMP is always more expensive than Ivo for just about everything.

Ivo is the most honest mechanic I know and he's a good guy.

When i need work done on my cars I call RMP and Ivo. The last two jobs that I had done RMP was cheaper... Im not doubting Ivo's expertise because hes great at what he does! Both are excellent shops!

It's saddening that someone would make such a bold statement indeed...Ivo's a great guy and always taken care of me.

If anything, he tries to educate his customer.

RMP is the real BMW expert out of them. He has BMW experience more then 14 years. Also build race car, and excellent detail.

Always fair pricing, never rip off!

Last time I was at RMP he had a few kids working on
cars, that just doesn't sit right with me. I've always called RMP after getting a quote from Ivo and Ivo has always been cheaper in terms of:

Spark plug change
Oil change
O2 sensors
Shocks/Springs
Control arms
Valve cleaning
Oil housing gasket

RMP may have experience but last time I checked Ivo was the only Vargas certified installer in Canada. If Dzenno gets his car worked on by Ivo then that says it all.

That is lie, when was this? As far I know, only him and 1 licences man work there.

Maybe Ivo cheaper, and I know cheaper must be better.

Im not saying IVO is bad, just RMP have more time on these cars.

In the who is cheaper debate, I've had RMP price match Ivo before. Just mention the quote Ivo gives you when you talk to RMP.

A couple years back. It's the truth, there was like 2-3 guys that look like they were 18-20 years old. Very unprofessional vibe and Rocco was unprofessional to speak with.

I trust Ron and Eddy with my car, they are both at StreetXtreme and handle the mechanic side of the shop.....they have been there for me 24/7

And if you find different prices for services, they will always match if they arent already offering you a better deal.


Never been to Ivo, but I do have friends that go to him, and the general census is that he a good person.

Everyone has bad experiences I guess from time to time...I think it more has to do with temporary staff messing up rather than the good people that run a shop.
