about to get Alpina Flash: question
Hey guys I'm about to get my trans flashed to the B3 software tomorrow. The guy coding it is a friend of a friend of mine and the only car charger I have is a small motomaster trickle charger/battery tender, the compact ones. Noob question but will that be enough to power the car during the coding? I have to say my battery isn't great I get the "battery discharge" message often. He's the only one charging a decent price for the flash everyone else is charging 160+$ which is a ripoff I find. Thanks

I recommend a good battery for this. If you get the frequent battery discharge symbol, I would not attempt the flash without getting a new battery, or have a power supply!! (not battery charger, 2 different things)

Thanks for the reply man! Hmm ok so batt tender is not ok. Would hooking my battery up to his car with his engine running be ok? With booster cables. Thanks!

Love it! What they say about 'D' mode is true but honestly when I drive in D it's because either A. I feel like driving like grandpa or B. I'm texting (jp). Otherwise shifts are noticeably quicker than stock in M mode w paddle shifters. I never use S so I can't really comment. One thing I noticed but I'm not sure if placebo is when I downshift I get less of the "engine braking" effect.
