have you ever change your tail light bulb, you need to push it in and turn. I push the bulb gently inward a little bit and turn it (can't remember which direction now) try either way, it will come out. when I took it out, I can clearly see the 2 small studs someone post a drawing / diagram of the bulb here before and its exactly the same one. good luck and don't break it.

I was able to turn the assembly upside down and it came off without problem. I managed to put it back in because I am afraid damaging the OEM bulb. anyway, like I said before, it has to come out from the front, unless you break the back side welded plastic. the link you posted are great, LED-12-DCBAY-W looks good hey, can you buy these bulbs in your area? since I can take my bulb out, I wouldn't mind buy a pair to try out. thanks

way to go
please check out your local shop, if you can get one that works - BINGO no more B.S. I guess all we need is something in white or blue and inexpensive. can't wait to see it done, I feel like we are in the dark ages .... thanks man.

MY god man..... For the LAST Time - Its NOT GOING TO WORK. seriously. i've been doing this for over 2 years now and your wasting your time, effort, money, and aggravation. Either build something with High Power LED's or just buy a pre-made kit, LUX, etc etc etc... |

I'm going to see later if i can just change the color of the bulb to blue or white so it can atleast not be yellow. I remember seeing some "high power" leds bulbs at some shop that had the same fitment of the OEM bulb. I'll buy a pair of $200 lights once they are made to plug and play. For now if this works it will have to due. |

I am sure not too many people can afford to spend $200 + for a pair of high power LED bulb. Our goal is to get rid of the yellow color, so we don't mind to have the same intensity as long as its white or blue. Marc, maybe you can make something sells for $50.

angel eye bulbs
Don't mean to butt in on your conversation, but I think I can help you. I own a 09 328i also, so this is as much a pain for me as it is for you guys. If you look on the sylvania website they have an e-catalog. Under that catalog they have a "product identifier" section. If you click on that, they show different bulb types. Look under the "T2 3/4" pictures. The part number is 64170AX. I think you will find what you're looking for, or at least, get you on the right track. Here is the link to the website. Good Luck. http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...ting/ECatalog/

As far as the LED bulb goes, you should be able to find it at any parts store such as autozone, or something along those lines. If nothing else, try a search on ebay and see what happens. You may want to make sure the base of the 1156 bulb has the same dimensions of the bulb you have now.

I agree with you on the local thing. If you get it to work, post some pics of it and show us the fruits of your labor. You may be the hero of a lot of new e90 owners!!
