id only take off the lame xDrive badges (bad positioning)
id never take off an M badge, thats just disrespect haha

i just think BMW's badging is already super clean to begin with, theres nothing but the model name. its not like theres a big ass 3.0L, or QUATTRO shit all over it, etc

Whenever I see a debadged car, I "automatically" assume its the lowest base model.

They come factory debadged. They just say Lamborghini on the back. Same for Ferraris.

So the only time you would see something on them is if they are a special edition, which you would leave on the car, like the ///M

I don't care if anyone doesn't believe me when I tell you I did it because it looks cleaner. It's also MUCH easier to detail rather than going around the numbers.

Also, there's no way a BMW fanatic will ever know I drive a 330i vs. a 325 or 328. I have an M-tech front end, changed the window trim to black and have a Dinan exhaust.

Yes, I would definitely debadge an M3. I debadged my C6 Z06 when I had it.

debadge is nicer IMO and you can't say because you have a 320 or a 328 you want to fool people because a majority of 335's are debadged as well. it comes down to personal preference

I bought a Vorst trunk and ended up liking the "clean debadged" look so opted to stay debadged.

Some people do it because they say it makes the car paint look like it flows better and is more smooth. Others do it to hide that they have a lesser model of a car. Personally I don't like debadging. Even though many do it for the first reason, in my mind it just makes it seem like they're doing it because they're hiding their model.

LOL the only people who get upset at debadging are brand/badge whores who swear teh M3 is gods automotive gift to mankind, get over it...It's a 60-70k car, not a 1 million dollar Bugatti Veyron!!

Sometimes people forget, ITS ONLY A DAMN CAR!!! You can do with it as you please!!!

I would debadge an M car. It does look cleaner on most vehicles.

debading the M car is ridiculous but anything else is ok in my book.

lol IMO other people couldn't care less about my lowly 3 series coupe debadged or not. I mean get real, its a entry level luxury model, its not like its a SL black series/ Reventon / or even an M6. Around where I live, back in HK, I see Zondas/ Lambos / Astons, so a bmw, esp a 3 series, is no biggy.

I am extremely embarrassed to own a $45,000 entry level BMW so I wanted to cover up the model as much as possible...

JP! Definitely for the clean look although I went with the matte 135 emblem to replace after a while.

haha nah, you missed my point! I love my car to death. but in the grand scheme of things, I just don't see people caring that much, we just think that they do.

I'm not a debadger, but I can understand the "cleanliness" that debadging can provide...

every car enthusiast knows more or less what car is besides them without needing a badge to know. then there are those groups of people who need to look at the badge to pass judgement on you vehicle. i removed my badge so the enthusiasts can appreciate what i have, and the rest who don`t know can piss off. it`s the european state of mind. besides bagdes are just really ugly in general imo ex flexfuel, the new xdrives badges and last but not least, vtec badges all make me cringe everytime i stare at them too long. besides it just makes the car look real clean and even all around.

i mean honestly i could care less if my 3 series was badged or not..

but i would never debadge an m3... to me there to special, its like precious to me. and seeing the m badge is nasty... especially if you worked your ass off to go out and pay for one of them on your own. dont get me wrong i feel plenty proud driving my 335 around knowing i worked hard to get it but its def not as much of an icon as the m3 is. and therefore i would leave the m3's branding alone. the 335 then well whatever looks best depending on ur mods.

* drives a badged 335 *
