Front grill color selection.

I have an e90 pre lci. I am looking to start changing some things on my vehicle. The first mods are going to be black grills, tint, and to have the chrome window trim painted. I was originally going to spray the chrome flat black but now I am having a change of heart because I like the idea of painting the trim gloss black to look more oem. Also I have seen the way the 335is has gloss black tailpipes and will most likely do that as well. The color of my car is metalic graphite. What do you guys think will look best? I would get color matching ones but I only think they only look good on the lci's.

you can vinyl the chrome trim.. that way if you sell the car in the future you can return it as close to stock as possible. As far as gloss black tips.... i have not seen that. Ive seen ceramic coated matte black tips but thats about it.

I plan on buying new ones and not painting the existing ones. I was posting this to see what people's opinions are who has seen the flat black versus the gloss black and which one looks classier or more oem. And which vendor sells the best one.

Gloss and flat black are both OEM...classier is a matter of opinion. You won't go wrong with either. I personally prefer the matte black on my vehicle, which I plan to do in the near future.

Classy or aggressive (glossy vs matte) is subjective and depends on so many other variables IMHO. If the vehicle is black, glossy looks more classy than matte, but chrome is classier than both. (Again, just my opinion.) I saw a red e92 that had matte grilles with red outer grilles, that looked pretty cool. Again, it just depends on the rest of the car.

Also, you could just get both as it isn't a very expensive mod and takes less than 2 minutes to switch. Change them as your mood/taste changes.

My BSM has matte black grilles with matte black lower mesh.

I would do matte black, always a clean and aggressive look.
