Looking to learn how to tune, starting with my M47TU2D20
Been trying to find a good guide on how to go about getting started tuning. From what I have seen the M47 isnt an engine people standalone tune on, its mostly just flash tunes. But I am looking to learn how to tune from scratch, Remapping, Turbo timing ect. Anyone know where I can find documentation on this? Yes, I know the m47 isnt made to make lots of ponys but I am more doing this for the learning experience. Fuel is also really expensive right now so it would be nice to make an ECO Tune :P |

Disclaimer: I'm not a remap pro or anything. I have done 0 remaps.
But I think you should start from tools / flashing process perspective. Google: [your dde model] flashing Google: [your dde model] flashing tool Flashing may include pulling your DDE and soldering stuff to bypass write protections. You need a mapping software too. See what options you have and what softwares support your ecu. Not necessarilly bying the tools right a way. You can study the processes from interwebs. Also tools/software price may range from inexpensive to thousands. There are insider forums for mapping pros where pro tricks are traded. Idk how those work.. by invite or monthly payment. Something. You could get the basic idea of how the things work from open sources I bet. Last edited by k90; 12-25-2022 at 03:10 PM.. |

Apparently for flashing likelly your basic K+DCAN cable does it using WinFPK. EDIT: no idea if WinFPK can read the ROM. I'm yet to try the software. Then you need to find a software for editing the maps. Last edited by k90; 12-27-2022 at 06:17 PM.. |
