I'm down for Thursday if everyone else is... I still think Quarry is a good place to meet... but anywhere is fine... maybe that Academy parking lot off 1604?

To drop your car, you can do it the cheap way and just get lowering springs. But those MIGHT jeopardize the longevity of your stock shocks. If you have more money, I would suggest getting a shock-spring combo (I think Koni shocks and Eibach springs were a popular choice? Something like that)... you should do a search on this forum for some good combinations. OR, you could just buy a set that are already matched up, like KWv1 or KWv2's. I have KWv2's and they are great for the most part. If I were to do it again, I would have gotten some Bilstein PSS10's, although they are more expensive. But for the price, KWv1 and KWv2's are good... I got the KWv2's for the adjustability.

As far as where to get it, I've had nothing but outstanding service from JLevisw... **********s had the cheapest price for KW's, but they have horrible service... I'll never buy from them ever again...

I did my suspension install myself and I would recommend AGAINST it if you are a novice... I was (am) a novice and it was a horrible experience, just ask Oct haha... go to http://www.prestige-tuning.com/ to get them installed... Mark is great... let him know that Steven with the 335i recommended him

you will get kicked out. ever since that big thursday meet got moved from there (due to cops), the po-po is always around. one time i stopped in my 370 w/a friend that had gti to have a smoke and a cop in an unmarked mustang pulled up and kicked us out. just a heads up

if you are looking for a meet meet, last i saw was about a month ago when i went out and it was at the academy off of 281 and 1604...behind the movie theater around there.

suspension isn't that bad, just takes patience. If you can follow instructions you can do your own install.

Just becuase one diy says it's 3 hours doesn't make that an absolute fact. I've used prestige multiple times and everytime they've treated me right and charged me fairly. One time they even got it done earlier than they said it would and they could have just charged for what they quoted me for but instead they called me and told me it was done early. And the opposite has happened to me too, took longer than they thought but didn't chargeme he difference.

P.s.
I can tell you right now doin dp by yourself is going to take more than 3 hours

Yeah, I dunno... I've always had a great experience with them... I've had all the work on my car (besides the stuff I did myself) done by them and they do a quality job...

If they say 3 hours, and do it in 2.5 hours, they'll take off the 0.5 hours... On top of that, when I wanted my suspension adjusted, they just said 'drop by' and they did it for free...

I don't know how long a DP install takes, but I'm sure it will take a while... I saw a DIY that said that Coilover install would take half a day to a whole day... so I did it myself and it took 2 full days of work...

More than 1 person has posted a DIY and regardless if it took them 3hrs or 5hrs, they're not a tuning shop who has done a DP install multiple times, who should be able to do in half the time being proper tools are present.. I was given a square price not if it takes us this long it'll be this.. On the other hand I've seen threads where people are paying no more than $200 for the install at shops, too bad they're not here.. I might be getting them installed tomorrow at Fennell performance, I'll keep y'all posted on the price..

I don't know why my iPhone posted this like 10 times.. Lol.. Yes, he had the Jesus hair going on.. The cost of living in Austin is higher, you'd think it'd hold true for everything else... Guess not..

don't know what to tell you. I don't think they've done a lot of dp installs on 335's. Besides taking off mine I don't think they've done any others. I'm not trying to be on their proverbial dicks but they're an honest shop from what I've experienced.

Drove a 2010 x3 for two days while my car was in the shop. If you know anybody wanting one tell them to look elsewhere. Don't know why it costs $38k for a base version but it certainly doesn't feel like a $40k vehicle.
