Hey guys, I just got here to Lackland as well, and there really aren't any 335's (but there's no shortage of Mustangs). Maybe it's just me, but I can't get anybody to race. I pulled up inbetween two new camaro SS's at a red light and got really excited..the light turned green and they did nothing. I peeled out hard as hell and looked like a total ass. Maybe I need to start modding the outside of my car, the e90 can be very unsuspecting for those who don't know.

lol...damn dude, you just come on here talking about street racing right away...
I see so many SS's when I drive over to Lackland....and yeah, Mustangs are everywhere all over this city. I haven't seen a single modded 335 yet...at least not cosmetically... I'll be driving around over there this week...what color is your's? Any exterior mods?

In the past couple of years there have been many accidents involving deaths. The law was cracking down big time. I think they were going as far as keeping the cars when someone gets caught racing. |

I'm from Corpus Christi. I lived in San Antonio and visit often as I own a house by SeaWorld. Germany is where I live till the end of the year.

haha, I guess that did come off aggressive. I'm not really a big racer, but come on...you don't buy those kind of cars for nothing. I wasn't looking for "pink slips" (haha), just a little friendly acceleration.
My car is completely stock except for the JB4 & DCI, so nothing cosmetic yet...it's jet black w/Hawaii plates. Unfortunately, we're down to one car for the next two weeks so I'm stuck riding my VTX1300 while my wife drives the BMW. |

Yeah, I'll keep a look out.
Have fun on the autobahn Ismael. I wish I had my BMW when I lived in Wiesbaden...I had a money-pit Mercedes C280 that kept overheating. |

I stay near Weilerbach, which is by Ramstein. The wife and I didn't like any of the overseas choices. So we are pleased to be headed back stateside. We just have to wait for the list to see options.

Last weekend I drove some 6 hours on the autobahn. At the end of the month I am headed to Garmisch for a week. Might do a day trip to Salzburg. Then I'll be doing it again in July. A couple of weeks ago I hit my personal max speed of 140mph. I am not so much of a speed/power driver. I like the back roads Germany has to offer and the in/out traffic that S.A's freeways offer.

We did the same thing about a week before we left. Have you driven down there (Garmish area) before? It's amazing. The mountains come out of nowhere, and they're so tall they make you feel sick when you're looking up at them. I'm glad I don't have to listen to the Edelweiss AFN commercials anymore, haha. I left Germany almost 5 years ago and I still hear that song in my head.

I loved everyday driving in Germany. The area where I lived had REALLY well kept roads. The A46 started right down the road from my house and it was NOT a busy stretch. I could drive all the way to Dusseldorf without traffic on most days.
That's so true about those damn commercials.....I hated that Edelweiss one too...thanx...now you got it in my head....

I'll be starting class over at the lackland ed center next week. So you might see me running around looking lost, gray e92 m3.
And you can't deny your love for afn commercials, they were the best. |

I'm going to order a new intercooler and catback this weekend so I'll need those two items installed. Later this summer or early in the fall I'm going to run meth and a small shot. Ideally, I'd like to have the same shop be skilled enough to install and tune both.

I did my catback myself..and an intercooler should be pretty easy...other than taking off the bumper....

Watch out, because there's some non-tagged camaros, chargers, and I've seen one vette that belongs to the fuzz (bexar county, SAPD, and state troopers). They just have the lights in the grill, which you aren't gonna see if you roll up on them. The good thing is if you do get pulled over, as long as you got a ticket from each, you could get it all off your record (hire a lawyer). If you get 2 from the same department, it's a little harder convincing the judge you're sorry. lol. So, the best thing is not to get caught. Oh, did we mention the fuzz who's only job is traffic patrol? The first time I saw one, I called 911 to verify he was real. The uniform is aweful. And finally, the fun stuff.... if you do crash from street racing... The first thing the ER does to you when you come in as a car accident is cut your clothes off. We getcha nekkid and ship you off to OR, you'll have a tube in almost every hole... Don't crash in the summer, that's when we get fresh meat (aka new doctors!). The ortho ones are great! They get power tools, and sometimes they will work in the trauma bay before the patients get sent upstairs. Ortho makes all the ladies swoon (most of the time). All that sawing, and drilling gives them beef cake arms. They are some ripped mofos. So, please be careful, try not to get caught. cheers. |
