Guys, not trying to jump on the thread here, but have read you have been having some problems with shipping etc etc.

If anyone was interested I can arrange a GB for the Forge FMIC, where we should comfortably be able to offer a good deal.

If anyones interested let me know.

I am sure the guys in the workshop haven't had to cut or trim at all for fitting. I can double check this.

Had a reply from ETS late last night. Incorrect quote on shipping and nothing cam be done.

Waiting DHL information. By close of business I will know if this is still on for us.

I'm also lookin into 0% finance for those who want to purchase but have cash flow problems.

Guys,

I've spoken with DHL and they came in more expensive than the cost quoted from ETS. The shipping cost is based on either the dead weight or the volume metric weight, which ever is greater. In this case the volume metric weight along with its dimension mean the shipping costs are high.

I've looked at the costs and its still worth our while to import this as a one off group buy @ £650 per unit. We need one more person to add to the GB

As I clearly stated in post #66, Im not paying stupid rates for shipping.

And if you bring anything in from US via DHL then I assure you that you will get hit for everything.

Steve,

Not sure I follow but #57 I said £650 delivered. #58 you say your in for sure. My latest post still offers the FMIC at £650 so I'm taking the hit unless I work out cheaper shipping. At present ETS shipping is the cheapest. DHL and UPS come in the same using Air Freight Services?

ETS quoted $680 = £417.96
DHL quoted us today = £530.00

Cheers

Neil

I tried a shipping agency and the cheapest they came up with was $860US, which is still more then ETS.

Neil seems to be pretty straight with us, as the initial price still stands I'm still in.

Steve, what do you say?

I think Steve is under the impression that the price was without any tax/duty added and at a cheaper shipping rate.

As Mike has said, Neil has been very open with us since the start and the price is still the same as before. Hopefully we can get another person in soon to get the GB completed as soon as we can. C'mon Neil maybe you can get one for your 135i

No problem with Neil at all.
What he confused me with, was the line where he says the shipping cost has doubled.
After re-reading all the thread I now understand where I got it wrong.
Thread tidied.

So, indeed I am still in at £650 inclusive of everything to my door.

Thanks Neil, apologies for not reading the content properly
Steve

Any news on the last person Neil?

BTW, I made 384bhp and 437lbft of torque on map 2 JB4 on an otherwise stock car, a bit naughty I know but hopefully with a FMIC, intake and DPs then I car run that map all the time.

Naught yes, just log, watch timing and check for ignition glow codes. Great result! :0)

Still waiting on said customer. He was emailed last night to give the nod. If he decides not we are still 1 short.

No ignition glow codes, but the ABS, seatbelt codes and flat tyre monitors all went mad when on the dyno.

Have you tried advertising the groupbuy on the 1series section?

Neil, as I have said before I defiantly want the unit but will not be in a position to do so until end of June.

If you are happy to hold stock until then I would be grateful, completely understand if not.
