Use plenty of heat from a hair dryer and take your time.

is it very stiff when cold and you need the heat to make it more supple for the corners etc??

and do you trim it flush with the edges - or use heat to bend it round the edges and then superglue it down to the rear of the panel???

real??? - indeed!

none of this is hard or rocket science - the whole point of me asking was to get any tips or help - so Wezzie save your wise cracks for someone who gives a **** what you think.........

I make guitars - so a bit of vinyl shouldn't be a prob - just looking for a few pointers!

I'll do it myself if i'm going to - but just want to arm myself first - i can turn my hand to anything!

Have you decided if your rattles are normal - or a sign of impending doom???

Bit unnecessary. My first thoughts are 'just bought an M3 and thinking about having a go at vinyl wrapping without any experience - really?'

I would consider myself as someone who can turn my hand to most things, but I would not consider doing this.

If you ask a question on a public forum, expect to get answers you're not going to agree with. Just rise above it.

Check out Youtube for hundreds of videos on vinyl wrapping, how to's and full car wraps by pro's. Some of it's awesome.

I'm planning on doing it this summer myself, Di-noc carbon wrap on roof, then if i likey then it'll be the bonnet.

You do wrap it over and around the edge and flat it down, but don't use any superglue, no need. Self adhesive and very strong bond. Heat with hairdryer to make it more flexible and soften glue on backing.

I've now stumbled across real carbon weave that you can wrap parts in and now thinking of doing bonnet with this instead as it is actual real carbon.

Thank you VERY much Davie - just the answer i was hoping for/wanting..........

I will check out Youtube for some extra tips

I was just wondering on the level of grab of the glue............. as to whether within a few weeks or a month or so - all the edges start to lift etc........

PS....... it'll just be on a few interior panels - NOT exterior

The coupe already has a carbon roof anyway and i don't want to go any further and "chav" it up...........

Well, why didn't you say?! I'd give interior bits a go

'wafik' on here has done quite a bit of interior wrapping - have a search for posts by him or drop him a PM.
