Engine is from a 2007 335i

Has about 105k miles on it, no overheating, no scoring on the cylinder walls, and is in overall good shape.

I have the screws for everything here, if you are willing to dig through the box looking for them you are more than welcome to take them with you.

Local pickup on all large items unless buyer is willing to pay for shipping

Why one piston is clean? What happen to this engine?
There was a noise coming from the engine, few shops I took it to weren't sure what it was and I was planning on rebuilding it anyway. The shop that I was going to do it at backed out last minute and left me with the engine disassembled. I'm honestly really intrigued why one of the pistons is completely clean as well

Was it knocking? Spun bearings? Please post photos from the crank and the rod bearings

Was it knocking? Spun bearings? Please post photos from the crank and the rod bearings
Here are pictures of the rod bearings. The engine was still operable and the car could still drive with the noise coming from the engine so it wasn't rod knock or spun bearing, from what the shop said

Bearings don't literally spin. Is just an expression and those are definitely spun. All engines can run with spun bearings until they don't. Sorry. I'm not longer interested.

of course, i was just relaying what the shop told me. any idea as to why the one piston is so much cleaner than the other ones?

Probably injector stuck open. Fuel washed everything. Diluted the oil. Bearings spun. Not sure how long it ran like that but I assume the crank and rods are damaged too.
