I love my TE too. Awesome truck.

The SF takes one of the best Ducati engines 1098, and makes it lovable for everyday use. But make no mistake, it's still a superbike though.

Monster is for everyday use

Been a long time lurker here but here is my ONLY ride other than the NYC metro. This is the fourth 900SS I've owned in my life. I guess I keep coming back to this bike because it just does so well for me and my needs.

Just a few weekends ago...

Here's a video of hydro dipping btw: (very cool)

Love the SS man, looks great! I've always been a sucker for the Senna edition color scheme of the various Ducati's that came out with it (not sure if this one is but the color scheme is similar).

Lots of Ducati's lately in this thread, that's awesome...

Here are a couple of artistic shots I did of the Diavel recently:

Damn that's a sweet Daivel. I am digging the red exhaust. I'd love to ride one of those. Yes my bike is the Senna colors but I don't think they specifically called it that. I've searched hi and lo for that color combination. Thanks guys I do love this bike. It's funny how I am able to keep up with guys with half the HP in the Twisties. On long straights though, in left behind.

Thanks man!

as for HP, who cares about the straights, the twisters is where it counts! I cut my riding teeth on a GS500 (37hp crank) and then an SV650 (67hp wheel) in California (LA). When you have no power, it forces you to learn how to corner!

What's everyone's thoughts on A-Stars leathers these days? Looking for a new street/track jacket. Thinking one of these two:

Any thoughts guys?

I don't know about these days, but historically their lower end stuff (i.e., not top of the line racing suits, which are good) has been pretty crap.

I had A-Stars gear when I first started riding, and my really nice looking yellow jacket was torn and discolored after a relatively minor crash.

I've been a huge fan of Dainese ever since. My Dainese gear has always held up well in crashes

I had pics of it somewhere, probably long lost by now...

I agree, there's a hugh disparity between A-Stars low end stuff and the more expensive stuff. Their $700 jackets and $1500 dollar suits are very good in quality, but their $400 jackets not so much. I too prefer Dainese now, and the quality you get with their stuff shows. They might be as aggressively styled as A-Stars, but that's okay for me. For budget choices, I've actually admired Cortech quite a bit. Styling might not be first rate, but all my buddies who rock it swear by it and I see a lot of guys at the track rocking it.

What do you mean by track jacket? You will need a CE approved full suit with knee sliders for track. You are better off getting a cheaper leather/textile jacket for street and purposeful track suit for trackduty. Or you could rock a suit on the street as well.

Good catch, I didn't even see that part about the track. You can always get a two piece suit and wear the jacket with jeans (or "riding" jeans) on the street as well.

Most of the high end jackets these days are the top half of a race suit anyways. I wear my Dainese Super Speed jacket with Delta Pro Pants for track days.
