Wheel and Rim recommendations for a 2010 E90 328Xi

Hello,

My brother-in-law has a 2010 328xi. It came with 16in wheels.

He was looking to spice things up.

Any recommendations for which wheels are nice? His car is Montego Blue.

Also, I have a set of tires

Bridgestone RE050As 245/35/19 and 275/35/19

Can those fit if he got 19in wheels?

Thanks!
Loay

are they runflats? if so, get rid of runflat tires, they are terrible and make wheels more susceptible to impact damage. the minute these wear down the dw or super sport pilots are going on, secondly stay far, far, far....away from replica wheels esp in MD as i don't think you guys have perfect roads. For instance, i had replica wheels that bent on me in a week, replaced with forged volks went through hell and back and not even a little scratch. you're going to get what you (or..) pay for. companies to look at are HRE, MORR, DPE, IFORGED, FORGESTAR and it goes on. my personal favorite wheels are the morr cs7. other than that its very subjective due to budget, use, etc.

thanks for the replies!

What do you guys think of Beyern RAP wheels? perhaps 18s?

I heard VMRs hold up fairly well but they are heavy and their paint chips.

Other considerations maybe OEM Style 162s 18s from the older E90 330i

Loay

162's are heavy but the are a nice durable wheel that meets oem specs. I've been on this forum for a while and past or presently owned 3 335's, i've run many sets of wheels. I won't point fingers or bring anyone down but i will just say that i hate rep's as do many members on this forum. You WILL get what you pay for when it comes to wheels. I've run them on the street and the track and they just did not meet my expectations so that's why it's subjective. my needs may not translate exactly to what you are looking for. i've learned to go with 18 inch wheels on the street. german certifications, iirc jwl via?- are fine and all i understand they have to conform to min requirements to meet or exceed those expectations but the build processes of higher end manufacturers are far superior. compare a gravity cast wheel to the forging process rays inc uses to make their wheels and you'll know which route to go. hit or a miss, some love them, some hate them. in the end go with what feels best for you. good luck.

Those tire sizes will not work on an XI, you need something closer in diameter so that you don't fry the transfer case. I would run 235/35/19 front & 275/30/19 rear. I'm assuming that the 275/35/19 that you posted was a typo, even if it wasn't, 245 front & 275 rear is on the edge of being dangerous for the transfer case.
