Sniper - the car looks great

I'm wondering what color VS8's you're getting (and what rubber you're going to use)?

S Package: $2959.62 (Exhaust, Stg. 1 suspension, pedals)
Stg. 2 flash: $1999.00
OC: $1999.00
IC: $1599.00
Stg. III flash: $500.00

Parts total: $9056.62 + TX tax = $9803.80

Install: 23.3 hours total x $100/hr = $2330.00

Parts +tax + install = $12133.80 (ballpark figure)

Agent - I will be running the Sparkle Silver VS8s...boring color I know, but asthetically I'm very conservative. I like the OEM color to keep my sleeper look...not too aggressive. That is of course if the wheels ever get here. I plan on running 235/35/19 and 265/30/19...not sure on brand yet. I would love to run Michelin PSCs or P Zeros...but after Stg. III my car slush fund is tapped out...I will probably end up with the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position...tires and OEM TPMS from Gary @ Tirerack. I assume the OEM TPMS will work with our VS8?

wow. I have that kinda money, but it would hurt too much to spend on this car at this point... your car sounds awesome though, i am jealous of your solid tuning path and would love to ride in that car to see how it feels!

im too frugal, here is my upgrade path philosophy:

V3 PNP $1,300
Dual Cone Intake: $100
Vishnu Catback: $1,400
Sway Bars: $500 (huge difference)
Install in driveway - Free + Manly reward points for working on your car
Total: $3,300

Wow. Well you only live once. If you're happy then congrats on getting your car really hooked up.

I like it a lot. It does not drop the car too much...if you are looking to go with a very aggressive drop this suspension is not for you. I too will have 19'' on there soon. The suspension really tightens up the steering response. For more info check out this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...nan+suspension

I had my Stage 3 flash, IC, and OC installed at the same time Sniper did. I agree with everything Sniper says in his original post. The Stage 3 mods take everything Stage 2 did and enhances/improves upon the upgrades -- there's no way to really describe how responsive the car is now compared to before and/or stock other than to simply state that the improvement is dramatic. The powerband is clearly a lot fatter. My first real high performance car was a 2005 C6 Corvette Z51 6MT, and the engine in my 335i now feels a LOT like the one in the Vette, but STRONGER, believe it or not - instantaneous major punch no matter where you are in the RPM range - hit the gas in any gear and the thing just freight-trains.

Last night the gf wanted to "go fast" so we took it out on some of the local relatively-deserted turnpikes - areas where it's easy to find wide-open expanses of almost brand-new superslab. Whenever there was a big opening, enough to really punch it without running any real risk of anything disastrous happening (other than to my drivers license lol), nailing the throttle in 4th or 5th results in MAJOR acceleration well into triple-digit speeds - the power shows no real sign of tapering off even at speeds as high as 150 (with two people in the car).

BTW w/r/t Dinan suspension upgrades, I highly recommend going all the way and doing the sway bars and camber plates -- my car responds like a go-kart and doesn't understeer at all.

Wow, awesome, thx for the added comments.

Look forward to more users.

I wish suspension for the xi was out there, besides KW V3 or just some slammed springs

Welldone for the installation. It looks a proper upgrade with OC and IC. Enjoy your car ...I'm sure you will.

I concur with the observations on the suspension ... . While I don't have CP's or sway bars yet (no matched set yet available for Xi's), my car is a dream to drive (both at the track and on the highway).
