Vorsteiner VRS Bootlid - 1x1 or 2x2?

I bought a 3D Design Diffuser which is a 1x1 weave to go with my quads. I'm now needing to buy a Vorsteiner bootlid trunk and I was thinking of painting it but letting the carbon show through on the 'tip' (like everyone does).

Will the 2x2 bootlid look funky with the 1x1 diffuser?

Why not just go 1x1 to match your diffuser?

They have both. That's kind of the purpose of this thread - to decide which trunk to get, 1x1 or 2x2.

Go with the weave pattern that matches your diffuser to keep it uniform. In general, M3 guys go with 1x1 all around and non-M3 go with 2x2.

can you guys post a link to a trustworthy place so i can buy one of these? And please help me out, are all vorsteiner boot lips the entire trunk or just a plastic piece held on with double sided tape? thank you in advance. I think i found one for about 500 dollars but im scared to buy it because it might just be a stick on lip that looks like crap.

The search button and vendor section is your friend.

1x1 so you don't have to worry about other pieces matching the weave

+1 I ordered mine last week from Horse Power Freaks, their price couldn't be beat. Looks like it'll be shipping April 22nd. I'm hoping that date is a worst case scenario and it'll ship early.

Now I just need to get my money back from this mess.
