Replace LCI Xenon Housing?
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to get an opinion. How difficult is it to simply replace the stock adaptive Xenon housing? I have a damaged housing that needs to be replaced and I can source the part from Tischer. However the local quote I got at the dealership is quite ridiculous for the install. I would say that I am competent mechanically. I have a 2010 E90 LCI sedan with Adaptive Xenons. The parts that concern me are: 1. Removing the bumper with the headlamp washers in there (they come standard on these models) 2. When I swap out the components do I need to worry about leveling the headlight, aiming, anything around the mechanical components?? 3. What about the warranty? Besides how can they prove if this was a DIY or I took it to a private shop? Again not looking to mod anything. Just a straight swap of the clear / black plastic housing! thanks!
