Will brake pad warning light prevent M button from working?

Hello,

I am interested in purchasing a 2008 E92 M3 6-speed from someone but he said that the M button, power button do not work currently because the brake pad warning light is on.

I just want to know if anyone has experienced this before and if it is true.

Thanks in advance

E90 post is for non-ms typically, you might have better luck here: http://www.m3post.com/forums/

I dont know much about the m button but it does sound kind of overly cautious for the car to prevent you from going into M mode for an issue like that. There may be an actual powertrain issue that can cause it.

Are you referring to the M button on the seats, the memory button for the power seat settings? That should not be related to the brake issue.
