ISTA - VIN entered is not valid

Has anyone seen this error message in ISTA+?

I have version 4.39.20 and it appears to be working - except it won't accept any VINs I can find.

I get the same error message regardless of the VIN I enter.

I haven't gotten my cable to work, either, but right now I'm mostly just trying to get wiring diagrams.

Okay, I figured this out.

You have to follow the directions and install VC++ x64 AND x86.

That's it.

I did that and the VIN search works now.

Maybe this will help someone in the future... !
