Dis-connected battery, shut boot, cant open boot.

I was changing the battery i took the positive and negative off and it started raining, and i stupidly shut the boot, now i cant get in the boot.

I rang BMW they were about as useful as a chocolote fire guard. How the hell can you have a car design with a battery in the boot that you cant get to.

I have no access from in the car, i cant get through arm rest, and i have no key for it on the boot, and i dont even know if you can open it from the boot anyways, its a July 2009 model E92. I also tried connecting leads to the terminals in the engine bay but that did nothing as well, tried another car and the brand new battery ive got for the car, nothing.

Yours should have an emergency release cable, if you remove the boot pull you should be able to use a cost hanger to pull the Bowden cable.

I've attached a link, the cable you need to pull is no.9,

Sorted it the day after, thanks Chappers. Couldn't get into the boot anyways.

Managed to hook up a 9v battery to the correct wire in the glove box and it popped the boot.

I done this once and went into panic mode - then borrowed a neighbours jump starter pack and connected that to the under bonnet terminals and was able to pop the boot using the handle like normal. Just for anyone else that comes across this thread!

That doesn't work if you remove the red thing on top of the battery with the clips.
