N54 engine w/ 76k miles on it (spun rod bearings)
Looking to sell my engine to someone who hopefully wants something one as a project or for a core to build or something along those lines. Includes everything except the following: stock turbos/exhaust manifold, injectors and the lines connecting them to the rail, water pump/thermo, hpfp, alternator. Basically in essence this would be great for someone to have a built motor on the side for their build or something along those lines. Shop said that the engine has perfect compression and leakdown when they tested it so it's just the bottom end that is the issue (likely spun rod bearings but never pulled the oil pan to confirm). Anyways this engine will be available for pickup in Lindenhurst, NY within the next 1-2 weeks. Looking to get $1150 picked up for it. Can ship but buyer would have to pay freight shipping which would likely be 3-500 depending on where it's going.

Part it out!
I kept my motor after cracking a piston. Pulled it apart (which was awesome to do) and have since sold the crank, head, intake camshaft and valve cover. $1300 and counting. Rods are up on eBay for $400 and I have no doubt will sell at some point soon. I have the luxury of it sitting on an engine stand in the garage and plenty of space so not for everyone. Sounds like you need to get rid of it quickly. I ended up grabbing a solid compete motor minus turbos from a seller on carpart.com with 50k for $3700. It's been rock solid (knock on wood). Either way, sorry about your misfortune. It is an uber shitty experience to deal with! glws Peace |

You wont need an engine stand, I tore apart both an m62 and an s52 on the ground. You can always put it on a standard jack with something like bricks under the mounts and around the motor. Either way you get more for a partout. It takes maybe an hour and its actually really entertaining.
