Alpine 9887 with modded display (to match BMW amber)...

I am selling my Alpine 9887r head unit.

This is a top of the range unit with proper EQ, time alignment, full speed ipod control and you can add their bluetooth module if you want.

This is the unit.....

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-cda-9887r.html

Mine has been modified so the display is now amber, so it matches the rest of the interior of the BMW......

The unit cost me £300 from caraudiodirect.com

I also have the Ipod lead (another £18)

I also have the PDC adapter which gives you your parking sensors back and the can bus adpater and steering wheel control.
This keeps the multifunction steering wheel working and gives you switched ignition, illumination and speed pulse for speed dependent volume, plus it makes it all plug and play, no wires cut, no messing around just swap the radios.

There is also the radio fascia, this is the same for the 3 series as the 1 series btw.

The adapters and fascia cost me £108 from http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/

The head unit has already been set up for a 1 series with standard speakers and just L7 tweeters added, so all the time alignment has been done (for a rhd car) and sounds pretty damned good with no amps added.
You can easily add an amp to drive the front speakers and a sub to turn it into a stunning system.

I am looking for as close to £300 as possible.

This is the radio in the fascia during the day...

Hahaha you cheeky fucker!!

It is one of my Mixes.

No, not getting rid of the 1 series, thinking of trying the new Pioneer P99RS...

But at a grand I thought I better sell this first.

Hi,
I wanted to ask you how you change the lighting color of amber?
Will I be able to do it yourself, and if I need it for any special tools?
I ask a brief description of how it needs to be done.

Greetings from Polish.

I just took the face apart, 4 small screws, and put some acetate sheet between the oem lcd and the plastic face font.

I used sheets from Midwest Plastics, they sell worldwide in model shops.

And from memory I used cheery and tangerine, two layers to get a good match.

Thanks a lot.
As soon as I find the appropriate sheets and little time for tinkering, I will put pictures of my work.
