I don't disagree with your assessment of the GTR along the lines of feedback, driving feel, interior quality, etc. The fact remains that these cars compete in a space where speed and numbers reign supreme and this was most definitely emphasized in many 911 turbo reviews prior to the advent of the GTR. Perhaps I am missing the point here, but it seems that in the recent comparisons that I've read of the GTR, they seem to ignore these performance facts, perhaps because they place the other compared cars in a negative light

I guess the philosophical question here is if the reviewers didn't know and the porsche was actually re-badged as a Nissan, how would it influence their results? Would the reviewers be capable of truly looking past the brand and heritage to give the car its due?

I was actually saying the mustang is far from a sports car too. It definitely is NOT a sports car...but many people and magazines are putting it into that category because of it's "handling".

It is still a very cheap and raw platform. A little $$ can get 500hp easily and they are fun, but it still is a muscle car, absolutely not a sportscar.

Hope everyone is indoors and avoiding any driving! I was one of the unfortunate few that had to work today.

I was out walking today and had to stop into the Northface store to buy one of those creepy ski mask things and then I was good to go. I am really concerned though, I need to drive for work on Monday and I don't think my apartment management is going to have it cleared. Not sure what I am going to do....

I had to work today. Luckily I was able to take my mother's car. (Audi A4) The AWD was nice...but still didn't keep me from getting near stuck 5 times in my neighborhood...the plows hadn't come at all yet so it was 12" with 4 foot drifts! A few times i had to rock back/forth 20 times to get myself unstuck. Mind you this is less than 300 feet from my house. All the main roads were perfectly fine.

Here's a picture from work today!

What a crazy day yesterday was, I've never seen anything like it! We spent about 6hrs total outside with the blower and shovels trying to keep the drive clear. It sucked, but I'm glad we did, cos the snow is like solid ice this morning! Snow is waist deep at the end of our drive. The first plow truck just passed 5 mins ago, and it was having some trouble, kept getting stuck outside. I don't know if I'll be able to get to work tomorrow morning if they don't improve things drastically...

Also spent an hour digging out a neighbors Jetta that go stuck on our block. It was completely beached! Definitely a good example of why one should not go out!

Yeah that dome collapsing is quite spectacular. So are they going to rebuild it this winter and host more games? They don't have any other great options.?

Damn I feel bad for the construction crew that has to work on this next week.

From what I know the roof structure its Teflon coated fiberglass. I don't know how the hell that passes building code. It's crazy.

No More METRODOME!!!

I hope that a tornado touches down this spring on top of the Metrodome. Its time.

On another note... I had some time this evening and wanted to start (restart??) getting people to post pics of their old cars. Below is my automobile evolution...

1992 Toyota Land Cruiser (1st car)

2001 VW GTI VR6

2003 BMW 330XI

Great memories... surprisingly the ol cruiser was the most reliable of the bunch.

Nice rides guys!

Martin - I didn't know you had an XRS. How is it to drive?

Nick- How many tickets did you get with your bikes?

Joe - The wheels on that Vdub are sweet! That 92 toyota is sweet. Would love to have one at the moment to navigate the snow.

Here are mine

First One - Maruti Suzuki Esteem 1300 cc inline 4. I had 270 cams on this thing along with a single double barrel side draft webber. Sounded awesome but never stayed in tune.

Second - 1993 Jspec MR2 turbo. What a car! My friend owns this now.

Third - Jetta 1.8t Wolfsburg Edition. My first car in America! Damn reliable and a absolutely fun car to drive. I still think about getting a GLI as a beater!

Fourth - 2007 Infiniti G35 6mt coupe. One of the nicest looking cars ever made! Dealer sold it to me without disclosing 3k worth of frame damage. Took me a year to return it and get my money back!

Fifth - 2009 BMW 135i. GIAC stage 1 and BMW performance 269s. Again an amazing car, but not an M!
